Installing a Brody Disk in a salt manufacturing plant to prevent bridging! Case study of trouble resolution.
We would like to introduce a case that addresses the issue of "the occurrence of the bridge phenomenon even with the installation of air knockers, where workers have to deal with it each time by poking it with a stick, and we want to improve this situation."
In this case, the shaft of the blow disk was supplied using SUS316L. Additionally, the controller box was also made of SUS material.
Our company is open to consultations regarding the specifications, including the materials of each component. We look forward to your requests.
[Overview]
■ Hopper: Approximately 1000×1600 (the 1000 side is vertical, and the 1600 side has an inclination of about 60°)
Discharge is done via a screw feeder.
■ Equipment arrangement: On the 1600 side (the side along the screw: 2 sides), 4 blow disks are installed per side, totaling 8 (all at the same height).
■ Control: The controller, which has 4 solenoid valves built in, sequentially turns on the air in pairs with a time delay.
